Kasey Lynn Photography bio picture

Kasey

Growing up I was always a creative person, and photography has only increased that creativity!  I’m always trying to produce unique, fresh and fun images.  I feel so blessed that photography is part of my life and I get to do something I love for a living!

For me, photographs contain not just images but memories, and I love that I’m able to capture memories not just for myself, but for others as well.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to hear from you soon!

Stacey

I have the best job!  I sincerely love what I do and can’t imagine doing anything else (so this better work out for me :) ).  I love creating gorgeous images.  After I finish a shoot, I sometimes literally cannot wait until I get back home and get them on my computer to look at!  I hope that feeling never goes away.  I know several photographers who have lost that feeling and have forgotten how much fun creating beautiful images  can be.   I don’t ever want it to feel like a job or work to me.  I feel so fortunate that I have found something that I love to do when so many people out there can’t stand their job.  I’m blessed!

I was also lucky enough photograph Stacey.  We’ve known each other ever since….gosh, I think Jr. High?  Maybe even longer!  We went out this past weekend and froze our booties off.  My fingers were so cold that even though I was trying to maneuver the buttons and dials on the back of my camera quickly, my fingers were slow due to their numbness!  Stacey was a real trooper though and we got some amazing shots!

Get comfy, I have lots of favorites today.

You’ll see Stacey laughing in several of these photos.  We laughed a LOT!

Since it was cold out, I told Stacey to bring a cute scarf or hat.  She didn’t disappoint!  Little accessories like that make pictures even more fun.  I loved all the colors in hers.

We had LOTS of fun!

LOVE these next two!

I think this one is my favorite of the entire session.

Stacey, you rocked this session in front of my camera!  I hope you had as much fun as I did!  :)

Week 4: Monochrome

Can I just ask what is the deal with the Texas weather this week?  All week we had gorgeous weather and today I wake up to weather in the 40’s!  I like the cold as previously stated in this post, but I like some consistency too.

Anyway, I really enjoyed the theme this week and had lots of fun with it.  Just a little FYI- I love anything with colors so this week meshed well with me.  :)

Sunday 1-24-10

Monday 1-25-10  This was the day I got these pictures also.

Tuesday 1-26-10

Wednesday 1-27-10

Thursday 1-28-10  The day before was my Mom’s birthday.  This is one of the flowers in the bouquet I bought her.

Friday 1-29-10

Saturday 1-30-10   Sometimes I like to incorporate my daily life into these themes if possible.  Harley went to the beauty salon this morning and came back looking gorgeous as always.  It’s such a relief to be able to see her eyes again!

Afternoon At The Park

Today was a beautiful day outside.  I loved it!  I know I’m going to yearn for days like today once July and August come around.  For that reason, today I decided to take full advantage of the gorgeous weather while we have it.  This afternoon I took Harley to the park.  And she loved it.  This dog goes crazy over running in fields.  She had a blast.  And I had a blast watching her.

I brought my camera along to take a picture for my 365 project.  Before we left, I made sure to grab a couple of Harley in the gorgeous sun.

Her hair is in her face in this one but I love it anyway.  She had been running ahead when I called her, and she stopped and turned back to look at me.

Week 3: In the Garden

I guess I should start this post off by saying that I don’t pick these topics all by myself.  I participate in an online photography group, and several of the photographers on there also decided to do a 365 project.  Each week a new person picks the topic.  We have several of Australian photographers on there, so this week while us American peeps (yes, I did just say peeps) were trying to photograph interesting things in mostly dead gardens everyone from Australia was coming up with beautiful images with such colorful flowers.  It made me jealous.  I think I’m going to revisit this theme once spring rolls around.  It’ll give us Americans a chance to get some color.  :)

Sunday 1-17-10  The only thing colorful I found were green weeds.

Wednesday 1-20-10  The roses aren’t around this time of year, but the thorns are always there.

Thursday 1-21-10  I found this little guy Thursday.  Don’t ask me what kind of bug he is, I have no idea.

Saturday 1-23-10  Yesterday morning Dad was working in the yard and saw this spider.  He was probably resting after a long hard night of making this insanely huge web.  He gives me the creeps just looking at him.

Laura - Kasey - I just haven't had time to comment but I have been looking through your blog as you post the week of photos. I love this concept and I think this will be great for you. The spider one is very cool. And love the new Harley photos you posted. I sound like a broken record but you're just a fabulous photographer. And very cool you got to do a newborn shot. Hope you get more of those as photographers in Orange County here have established themselves soley as children/newborn photographers and seem to do quite well with business. Big hugsJanuary 25, 2010 - 8:30 pm

Kristin - I'm enjoying this series and interested to know which online group? I belong to several, but we aren't on a "project" just yet. Would love to get us on one. Care to share?January 25, 2010 - 10:13 am

Kyndra Selmon - Wow what neat pictures! And even though I am deathly afraid of spiders, the spider pic came out awesome! :) I think it is the best of the group!January 24, 2010 - 1:10 pm

Kasey Lynn Photography Got A Makeover!

One of the things I wanted to tackle the year was to really create a brand for myself and define what I want my business to say.  I realized that my blog and website weren’t really reflecting what I want my work to say.  I love dark brown, however it was pointed out to me that brown kind of says traditional.  And when I thought about it, I realized that I agreed.

So at the end of December I teamed up with Lynsey for a little branding makeover.  With her uber fabulous help, we created something that’s more me and reflects my style of work  Fresh, fun and sophisticated.  And I LOVE it.

Along with the blog makeover, Lynsey also helped me with my new logo.

kaseylynnphoto_logo_color1If you need any design work done, shoot Lynsey and email.  I know she would love to work with you!

Rachael - LOVE the new website...it totally fits you!January 24, 2010 - 7:34 pm
