Hi there! :) I’m Kasey and thanks for taking a peek into my world as seen through my lens.

Simply put, I love what I do. I get to be with a bride and groom on one of the most important days of their lives, and I get to document their story through my camera.

I didn’t grow up knowing that I wanted to be a wedding photographer. Looking back there were a few moments when I remember playing with my parent’s camera and taking pictures here and there. But it wasn’t until my senior year of high school when I was faced with declaring a major for college that I decided to major in photo journalism. I quickly realized that I wasn’t meant to be a photographer for a newspaper or television station. What I did realize was that I loved shooting people, and I loved creating beautiful images.

That was when I decided I was going to be a wedding and portrait photographer. No ifs, ands, or buts about it.

I love my dog with a blind passion. If you follow my blog long enough you’re guaranteed to see her on a regular basis. I love to travel and can’t get enough of it. Spring and Fall are my favorite seasons. I’m not one for super cold weather or extremely hot (and humid) days. Give me a good book and I can get lost in it for hours. I love chocolate more than I should. I’m probably the only person I know who doesn’t drink coffee. I love my job and couldn’t dream of anything better.

I have the best job! I sincerely love what I do and can’t imagine doing anything else (so this better work out for me). I love creating gorgeous images. After I finish a shoot, I sometimes literally cannot wait until I get back home and get them on my computer to look at! I hope that feeling never goes away. I know several photographers who have lost that feeling and have forgotten how much fun creating beautiful images can be. I don’t ever want it to feel like a job or work to me. I feel so fortunate that I have found something that I love to do when so many people out there can’t stand their job. I’m blessed!

I was also lucky enough photograph Stacey. We’ve known each other ever since….gosh, I think Jr. High? Maybe even longer! We went out this past weekend and froze our booties off. My fingers were so cold that even though I was trying to maneuver the buttons and dials on the back of my camera quickly, my fingers were slow due to their numbness! Stacey was a real trooper though and we got some amazing shots!

Get comfy, I have lots of favorites today.

You’ll see Stacey laughing in several of these photos. We laughed a LOT!

Since it was cold out, I told Stacey to bring a cute scarf or hat. She didn’t disappoint! Little accessories like that make pictures even more fun. I loved all the colors in hers.
